COMMUNITY ART PROJECT – FREE – ALL AGES!
We Are This City is honored to be chosen as the resident artist this year for TEDxABQ. As resident artist, we have the opportunity to do the stage design for TedxABQ, and we are super excited!
On September 17th, We Are This City will kick off the day with a live, collaborative art project from 10am-12:30pm on Civic Plaza. We are inviting the community to come spray paint stencils on ten 4’x4′ panels!
TEDxABQ STAGE DESIGN – PAID – ALL AGES
At 12:30 we will move these panels to the main TedxABQ stage where ten local artists will complete the panels made by our community, adding paint, charcoal, pastel, and whatever materials they see fit to, develop the collection entitled We Paint. While the visual artists are at work, Hakim Bellamy will kick off the Main Event off by performing The Albuquerque Manifesto. Diana Delgado will simultaneously performs an aerialist show!
After these phenomenal artists share their talents with us, Max Baptiste will take the stage to speak about community development and how the arts create tangible economic and social impact in our community. The art will keep rolling throughout Max’s talk, as Nate Gutierrez will be projection mapping the ABQ Balloon Blast pieces on stage, making them come to life with four 7000 lumen projectors!
